University Expert Course in Refrigeration Systems UCO

Polytechnic School of Cordoba University in collaboration with companies of the industrial and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning sector, KEYTER INTARCON and the companies associated to AFAR (Andalusian Refrigeration Manufacturers Association) organise one more year the University Expert Course in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems.

Course of University Expert in Refrigeration Systems #CESIR, covers refrigeration system design fundamentals from a practical point of view:

❄️ Thermodynamic fundamentals of compression refrigeration systems.

❄️ Refrigerants, oils and secondary fluids. Refrigeration technology.

❄️ Selection of refrigeration system components.

❄️ Control systems applied to refrigeration.

❄️ Regulations on refrigeration systems.

Training activities include classroom sessions, virtual sessions, visits to real installations and practical work in refrigeration companies. The students’ academic training is completed with preparation and defence of a refrigeration project at the end of the course. This Expert Degree, organised by the Higher Polytechnic School of Cordoba University, is sponsored by leading Cordovan companies in the commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning sector; those associated to AFAR (Andalusian Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association) of which KEYTER, air conditioning equipment design and manufacture, and INTARCON, commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment design, are some of the main promoters.

This course, now in its third edition, is the result of collaboration between Cordoba University (UCO) and companies in the province, in R&D&I projects in the refrigeration sector, given the importance of refrigeration industry in this area and the R&D potential in refrigeration of several UCO research groups. The University Expert Course in Refrigeration Systems is a clear adaptation of the offer to the demand of professionals in the sector and a real search for professional opportunities for students who are taking it in its different calls.
This course has an employability rate of 100%, responding to the high demand from companies in this sector for the incorporation of engineers, mainly industrial engineers, with high qualifications in refrigeration systems.
According to AFAR (Association of Andalusian Refrigeration Manufacturers), only in Lucena, where KEYTER INTARCON’s factories and headquarters are located, the sector employs more than 3,200 people and accounts for 75% of sales to the Horeca channel in Spain.
