KEYTER is taking an active role in developing the HIBRID-E project, an ambitious R&D initiative to build smart hybrid energy networks that optimize the use of renewable resources.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities under the “Science and Innovation Missions 2023” initiative (TransMissions 2023) of the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), as part of the State Programme to Catalyse Innovation and Business Leadership within the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021–2023. The TransMissions 2023 initiative is a joint action by CDTI and the Spanish Innovation Enterprise Agency (AEI), coordinating funding for consortia of research and knowledge-dissemination organizations together with groups of companies collaborating on joint, coordinated R&D efforts to address the challenges defined in the specified thematic priorities (Missions).
HIBRID-E aims to create advanced digital tools for the optimal planning and operation of networks that integrate electrical and thermal energy seamlessly. This energy transition will leverage technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, IoT sensors and novel storage systems.
As a leading company in the industrial HVAC&R sector, KEYTER focuses on developing components and solutions that boost energy efficiency and operational flexibility within this hybrid network ecosystem.
Among the project’s specific objectives are:
Coordinated by the IDP consortium, HIBRID-E brings together technology partners and research institutions—including COFRICO, INDOORCLIMA, NVISION, SENSING & CONTROL, EURECAT, ARC, CIBELIOS and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). In addition, we will work in collaboration with the following research organizations: EURECAT and UPC.
With HIBRID-E, KEYTER reinforces its commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and technological innovation, fully aligned with the EU’s strategic goals of decarbonization and energy autonomy.
Total CDTI budget for the project: 3.447.811,00 €
